Mostyn House School in Parkgate is one of the Wirral’s most magnificent sights, with its commanding position on the Parkgate Parade.

It dates back to circa 1600.

It was opened as a Private School in 1862 and has been owned by five generations of the Grenfell family until the school closed in 2010.

As a Listed Building the part demolition and asbestos strip out must be performed with the upmost of care and professionalism.

An extremely careful hand strip out was performed ensuring that all retained fixtures and fittings remained undamaged.

All excavation works had to be undertaken in the presence of an Archaeologist.

Contract value was circa £180,000.00
