Plant Operator
We are currently a seeking an experienced demolition high reach operator for contracts mainly in the Northwest but will also include contracts throughout the UK.
This role will involve periods of working away from home, accommodation will be provided by the company.
Work will involve the use of demolition plant up to 30m, experienced plant operators below 30m will be considered if a proven employment record working within the demolition industry can be provided.
Plant demolition tasks include but not limited to, demolition of various structures and construction methods using, hydraulic shears, concrete pulverisers, concrete crackers, selector grabs, concrete breakers.
Processing and loading of waste materials, metals and aggregates.
Take instructions from the Demolition Manger.
Follow method statements and risk assessments to carry out tasks in a safe and compliant manner.
Follow company safety policy, rules and procedures.
Ability to identify risks and safety issues and report to the Demolition Manger should they arise.
The right candidate will need to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role and have 3 years’ experience as a minimum.
This is a full time position with salary negotiable depending upon experience.
Role Insight:
Willing to work away from home essential.
Safe operation of all types of demolition plant.
Undertake basic daily/weekly safety/maintenance checks.
Recording of daily/weekly safety/maintenance checks.
Ensuring plant is maintained in a safe and operational condition.
Compliance with company H&S policy and procedures
The following certificates would be required for the role:
CPCS in demolition plant operations
D90 category demolition plant operations
Full UK Driving Licence
The following certificates would be also be desirable for the role:
Asbestos Awareness and/or Cat B
Demolition Awareness
Face fit
Additional training certificates would be advantageous.
